Longy’s fully online Master of Music in Music Education degree program (MM/ME) is designed especially for educators who seek an advanced degree without taking time off from their careers. This degree program, which can be completed in one or two years, builds on Longy’s near-decade of expertise in preparing musicians to be teachers through its campus-based degree programs, including the one-year MM/ME degree offered in Cambridge, MA.

Master of Music in Music Education (MM/ME) in Person, in Cambridge, MA

• Practicums include working with at-risk and underserved youth in Longy’s Sistema Side- by-Side program, Greater-Boston area public schools, and numerous El Sistema-inspired sites across the state.

• Access the full resources of the conservatory campus, with studio lessons, performance, ensemble, and composition opportunities,
in a music scene rich in both tradition and experimentation.

• Leads to Pre-K-12 Music Teaching Licensure in Massachusetts and reciprocity with many states.

• New El-Sistema-inspired one-year degree, hosted at Longy’s campus in cultural hotspot Boston, with access to the full resources, opportunities, and community of the conservatory.
