Open Fields, a community theatre in Dover, MA for kids ages 7 to 18 is searching for a co-music director for a production of Grease! Stipend based on availability ($2000-$3000). We’re looking for a music director who is a skilled pianist and has a passion for teaching kids music and nurturing their love for musical theatre. Since we’ll have a large cast, including many young children, patience and an ability to handle high-energy rehearsals are essential. We’re a close-knit, joyful, and loving community that becomes a second home for our Open Fields kids.
Rehearsals start on Sunday, October 15. Availability is needed on Mondays from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in Dover. There’s a possibility of adding Sundays from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM – our long-time music director is TBD on Sunday rehearsals and leading the shows; we’ll update once we have more information. Tech week is scheduled for January 13-15 (MLK Jr. weekend – daytime rehearsals) and January 16-19 (evening rehearsals), with performances on January 20 at 4:00 PM, January 21 at 1:00 PM, January 26 at 7:00 PM, and January 27 at 7:00 PM.
