Singers dream of reaching the widest audience possible – but what about an audience of one?
Longy students offer this unique opportunity as a culminating project from the semester-long course, Private Audience. This course, inspired by the art installation “Sonic Blossom” created by the artist Lee Mingwei, proposes to develop a performance for a ‘private audience’ – an intimate presentation of a song as a shared moment.
Come enjoy an intimate experience of music just for you – a “private audience” with a Longy singer who will perform a song tailored for a single listener. We’re breaking down barriers and conventions, exploring how music shared between two people forges a powerful connection.
