Emperor Norton’s Stationary Marching Band is looking for trumpet players, saxophone players, and drummers (kit or percussion). We’re an eclectic bunch of folks playing mostly original tunes from a mix of all sorts of genres including funk, Balkan brass, Klezmer, jazz, ska, avant-garde, and all sorts of other things. We rehearse weekly on Thursday nights in Medford and we tend to gig 1-3 times per month in peak season. This includes Honk! festivals around the country, local Boston area venues, and other music festivals both locally and out-of-state. We also do the occasional wedding or corporate event.

This does not necessarily mean coming to every rehearsal or gig, but making an effort to be at a majority of them when possible. We don’t make much money, but we do make some. ENSMB is a band you join to play the coolest music with the coolest people, not to get rich.
