First Church in Sterling is looking for a part-time professional Director of Music Ministry for an energetic United Church of Christ and Unitarian Universalist church community.

Our goal is to bring a variety of music through traditional hymns and contemporary music during Sunday worship with our adult choir, small ensembles, and soloists. First Church in Sterling has a growing youth population and would like to develop youth and children’s choirs as part of our music program.
Job Description: The Director of Music Ministry would work together with the Pastor and Senior Worship Team to develop music for Sunday worship, holiday services and special events. The position includes choral directing in both traditional and contemporary music with musicians of all skills and ability levels and across different age ranges. We are flexible and open to the possibility of having a Director of Music Ministry and an Organist/Pianist with separate roles.
Terms of Employment: Part-time exempt position. Salary $25,000+ negotiable based on experience.
Location: Sterling is located in Central Massachusetts about 14 miles north of Worcester.
