Longy School of Music, with the Massachusetts Music Teachers Association (MMTA) and New England Piano Teachers’ Association (NEPTA), welcome Artina McCain as she presents “Who’s that? Creating a New Standard Repertoire.”

This workshop is a unique opportunity for pianists and piano teachers. The collaboration also celebrates Longy Piano Faculty Member Esther Ning Yau as the 2024 MTMA Teacher of the Year.

Artina McCain presents lesser known repertoire that follows a storyline of discovering one’s own strengths as an artist. Through the use of visual aids and short commentary, McCain will introduce some new composers and encourage musical self discovery, including Joseph Joubert, Maria Corley, Poulenc, Tania Leon, and more!
