Byrne:Kozar:Duo • IT FLOATS AWAY FROM YOU • Faculty Artist Recital

The Byrne:Kozar:Duo, featuring Andy Kozar (trumpet, Chair, Instrumental Studies Department) and Corrine Byrne (soprano, Chair, Vocal Studies Department) has been featured on NPR and on American Public Media’s Performance Today, and has been said to create ‘an arresting symbiosis in their melding of voice and trumpet timbres.’

In a program titled It Floats Away From You, they will be presenting world premieres of works by Alexandre Lunsqui, Todd Kitchen, Qi Li, and Lei Liang, as well as earlier pieces for the duo by Chris Cresswell, Finnur Karlsson, and Beth Wiemann.
