Teaching Philosophy

I believe that every student possesses unique potential and that my role as a teacher is to guide them in discovering and developing their musical voice. My own diverse career as a trombonist better allows me to prepare my students for a career in music whether that be in orchestral performance, chamber music, solo performing or music education.

My teaching methods are rooted in a blend of traditional techniques and modern pedagogical practices. I emphasize sound production and incorporate the Alexander Technique to help students eliminate body tension and achieve a free, effortless sound.
