Teaching Philosophy:

I believe in the humanity in each and every one of us. I acknowledge that every person in our course, including myself, has unique gifts to share with our learning community. Many of my gifts to you are drawn from my knowledge and expertise but I do not claim to have all the answers for I am human as well. I also acknowledge that our lives can be filled with challenges and struggles that can sometimes interfere with us doing our best. In this regard, I am committed to being responsible to you to support you the best I can but not responsible for you as you are a talented, independent, and capable human being. I invite you to be co-learners with me this semester as we continue to get to know one another and explore music teaching and learning.
