Longy is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a grant of $18,300 from the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, through its Cultural Investment Portfolio program.
This generous funding will support Longy’s mission of preparing musicians to make a difference in the world and will contribute to initiatives that use music to strengthen communities, restore mind and body, and drive social change.
The Mass Cultural Council funds reach every community in the Commonwealth. The Council’s mission is to advance the Commonwealth’s creative and cultural sector by celebrating traditions and talents, championing its collective needs, and equitably investing public resources.
Its Cultural Investment Portfolio program provides general operating grants to nonprofit organizations that enrich Massachusetts’ cultural life.
Longy is committed to fostering the growth of the next generation of culturally responsive musicians and would like to thank the Mass Cultural Council for this gift, which will help us expand our reach and impact in the community.
