While this event is open to the public, you must pre-register in order to gain access in person. No walk-ups will be allowed at Longy for performances.

 

All Longy students present full recitals as part of their education and ongoing evolution as artists. They are charged with thinking critically about what stories they tell, whose voices to amplify, and who’s in the room for their event while also considering how to use performance spaces in innovative ways and how to truly engage audiences and create interactive music experiences.

Yunke Lyu is a pianist, She is a purveyor of classical music. She focuses on getting more students to like classical music through piano teaching. She cultivates students according to their own advantages and characteristics. In addition, she can help students to realize the ability of independent thinking and innovation, and cultivate their self-confidence.

In 2016, she enrolled in Wuhan Conservatory of Music to study piano performance. She studied with Professor Huang Yina and Doctor Zhou Zidong successively. In 2021, she was admitted to Longy school of Music in the United States and studied with pianist Hugh Hinton.

During college, she worked as a piano teacher at Hubei XuanLi Piano School. She offers piano instruction and group lessons for people of all ages. In particular, her college entrance examination students have been admitted by Central China Normal University, Wuhan University and Jianghan University. She improves their instrumental skills and repertoire as quickly as possible in a given time. She teaches them the formation of musical style and the expression of musical emotion as quickly as possible within a given time frame, and quickly improve their professional level.

She participated in the piano Seminar 8 Hands concert in 2021, which was well received. In March 2022, she attended the Music as A Healing Art concert, which was also very popular with the audience.

She gave concerts at the university and performed onstage with her professors. In addition, she organizes many concerts for some of her professors, so she knows the process and organization of concerts very well. She is a piano teacher and concert planner at xuanli Piano School where she works. She organizes and performs in the annual celebration concert.
