Scholarship Support

Support from valued Longy friends enables us to offer competitive financial aid packages to the most promising students and ease the financial burden they will face upon graduation. The impact of scholarship support is not to be underestimated, and for many aspiring musicians, a scholarship can be the deciding factor in whether they are able to pursue their degree at Longy.

Your gift to support merit-based student scholarships helps us ensure that qualified students have access to Longy’s world-class music education and advances our mission to prepare musicians to make a difference in the world.

Longy Fund Scholars

A Longy Fund Scholarship can be established with your gift of $20,000 or more. Longy Fund scholarships are invested immediately in support of an exceptional student and will support that student’s education for one year. To celebrate your substantial gift, we will name the fund to recognize your impact or to honor an individual of your choosing. You will also receive a report sharing the accomplishments of your Longy Fund Scholar and are invited to meet their scholarship recipient(s).

Endowed Scholars

You can establish an Endowed Scholarship Fund with a gift of $100,000 or more payable over a period of years. Endowed funds can be named in honor or in memory of a special person in your life, and you can specify a preference to award a student of a particular talent or background. Gifts at this level enable Longy to attract the highest-caliber students in the present and protect our ability to maintain this practice for generations to come.
