The New School of Music (NSM) seeks a substitute Teaching Artist in FLUTE to begin
immediately. The position will continue through the 2025 Spring semester ending on
June 9, 2025. There may be an opportunity for the instructor to become permanent
NSM faculty after this appointment. The candidate should be comfortable across a
number of musical styles, and incorporate creative and diverse pedagogical
approaches in the studio. Suzuki teacher certification is valued, but not required, as
is the ability to teach some recorder and/or smoothly transition students from
recorder to flute.
