Schechter Boston is looking for music teachers to join our After-School Music Lesson Program for the 2021-2022 academic year, starting in September.
In this position, you will be teaching private lessons to students in Grades K-8 who are beginners, advanced beginners, or intermediate students. We are looking for teachers for piano, guitar, violin and wind instruments. Teachers are paid $30 per 30 minute lesson.
All lesson scheduling is done by the After School Music Program. We offer lessons from 3:00pm-6:00pm, Monday-Thursday. We are looking for teachers for 1-4 days per week.
Degree in music/music education and experience teaching private lessons to young children.
Commitment to our students; ability to foster a joy for playing music; have a very high expectation of excellence, balanced with a caring and supportive style; focus on developing technical skills including ear training, improvisation and other skills as part of lessons; provides a wide variety of music, games and exercises in lessons.
Punctual and reliable.
As we are not located near public transportation, you will need a car or access to reliable transportation.
