We Share the Same River | Graduating Student Recital | Xuqian Wang, mezzo-soprano

Xuqian Wang (b. 1997) is a Chinese Mezzo-Soprano singer currently studying in Massachusetts, USA. Xuqian started her music training at age of five on piano, and then started singing at fourteen. Xuqian holds degrees from Tianjin Conservatory of Music天津音乐学院,中国天津 , When she was in college, she participated in performances with the school’s official Choir many times, including highlights: performed in the 70th year of the founding of the people’s Republic of China in 2019; Her works include four Great Chinese classical masterpiece —- songs from 《A Dream of Red Mansions》, 《The Journey to the West》, 《The Three Kingdoms Era》 and 《Water Margin》; Mahler’s Symphony No.2.etc. She also participated in many vocal music competitions in college and won awards. She is currently a Master student of Longy School of Music of Bard Collage(MA). She was also teaching at Tianjin as a teaching assistant. Her primary mentors were Bing Liu, Yan Chen; Anne Azéma.
