Dreams set responsibilities in motion, and the same can be said of music, at least for new Longy faculty member Katherine Pukinskis, whose work opens a world and beckons the listener in. Into this world she carries an idea, a memory, a person, with all the gravity of conveying what it means to be the child of an immigrant and a woman. Each piece holds a story—hers, the poet’s—but also the experience of all who share the space that music makes for a time.
