Now’s The Time: JCM Visiting Artist Series

“Now’s the Time” is the first of a new Visiting Artist Series that offers Jazz & Contemporary Music students the opportunity to work with guest artists. Each event includes an open rehearsal where the student body and public alike can see the inner workings of how new compositions are brought to life. After getting a glimpse of the rehearsal process, Now’s the Time culminates with a collaborative performance by the students and visiting artist, also open to the student body and general public. On 2/19/21 we are excited to host pianist and composer Frank Carlberg. Originally from Helsinki, Finland, Carlberg has carved himself quite a niche in the New York City jazz community.
