Cellist XIAO WU is a Chinese musician, he has performed in major theaters such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Xiamen, and Boston. He has won numerous competitions, including the 1st Prize in Fujian College Students Arts Performance and the Silver Award of The 1st Chinese College Students Competition.
He began to study music at the age of four, such as piano, drum, erhu, and so on. He began to learn cello at the age of 12. He was admitted to the undergraduate cello major of Xiamen University with second place in China. Then he was admitted to the Longy School of Music of Bard College to study for a master’s degree and studied with Professor Ole Akahoshi.
