Graduating Student Recital: Monologue | Erika Nicolle Matei, piano

Sun December 15 @ 3:00 pm

Spanning a musical time period of 300 years, Monologue is an exploration of identity, transformation, innovation, and the unknown. The inspiration for this program comes from the personal frustrations with conventions of the classical music canon, the role of the concert hall, expectations in a performer/audience relationship, and the prejudices that non-male musicians face.
