Voyage: Two | Ensemble Uncaged | Andy Kozar and Rachael Elliott, co-directors

Sunday • May 8, 2022   |   3:00 pm

Free – $20.00

Voyage: Two traverses the Familiar and the Unknown, illuminating the space between us while fostering the curiosity and imagination that propels us forward.

Join us for a thrilling presentation of Sarah Kirkland Snider’s acclaimed PENELOPE, featuring Ensemble Uncaged and Longy vocalists Caroline Wolfe and Nina Kasper. PENELOPE is a meditation on memory, identity, and what it means to come home. The piece is inspired by Homer’s epic poem, the Odyssey, with lyrics by playwright Ellen McLaughlin.

Ensemble Uncaged is Longy’s premiere new music group, dedicated to performing music by established composers as well as emerging and underrepresented voices, expressing multiple perspectives. We honor the familiar, invite the unknown, and challenge the conceptual limits of concert music in the 21st century.
