Divergent Guest: Mark Applebaum

Tuesday • June 14, 2022   |   7:30 pm

Free – $20.00
While this event is open to the public, you must pre-register in order to gain access in person. Registering for the performance is an important step to ensure the ability of contact tracing. No walk-ups will be allowed at Longy for performances.

Transcending the constraints of a single role, Mark Applebaum is an accomplished composer, performer, improviser, electroacoustic instrument builder and jazz pianist. His wide range of skills and interests are apparent in his compositions, which are as wildly experimental as they are stylistically diverse. No two scores in this program are alike, each combining elements of graphic and traditional notation. The concert also features performances by Applebaum himself on piano and electronics.
