Tuesday • March 8, 2022 | 4:00 pm 7:30 pm
Free – $20
Voyage: One, Part 1 traverses the Familiar and the Unknown, illuminating the space between us while fostering the curiosity and imagination that propels us forward.
Join Ensemble Uncaged for a journey of discovery of new and recent chamber music by Jessie Cox, Morton Feldman, David Lang, Alex Temple, Kaija Saariaho and Trevor Weston. Featuring the World Premiere of “Desiderata” (2022) by Longy graduate student, Paige Burke.
Ensemble Uncaged is Longy’s premiere new music group, dedicated to performing music by established composers as well as emerging and underrepresented voices, expressing multiple perspectives. We honor the familiar, invite the unknown, and challenge the conceptual limits of concert music in the 21st century.
Thanks to our partnership with the Massachusetts Cultural Council and their “Card to Culture” program, Longy School of Music of Bard College can offer free tickets to many of our diverse and innovative performance offerings. See the full list of participating “Card to Culture” organizations offering EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare discounts.
