SECOND STAGE: Sabrina Cohn, voice | Decent into Madness | Graduating Student Project

Sabrina Cohn, an energetic Soprano, is originally from Los Angeles, California. She loves playing vibrant characters and brings that energy to the opera stage. She is especially grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with orchestras to bring music to life. She has recently performed the role of First Blade with the Longy School of Music in collaboration with Opera Vermont. Previously, she performed the roles of Bastienne in Bastien und Bastinne, the Butterfly’s wife in Solomon and Balkis, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Papagena in Die Zauberflöte, and the Dew Fairy in Hansel und Gretel. Sabrina has studied during the summers with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, Chicago Summer Opera, AAMA, Berlin Opera Academy, FIO Mondo, and many more.

In 2024, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Landmark College in Putney, Vermont, where she earned the President’s Award, the Maria Forte Art Award, and the Best New DJ Award. She is working on her Master of Music degree in Vocal Studies at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, where she is studying with Carol Mastrodomenico. This Spring, Sabrina is working with Composer Joey Timmons to bring to life the debut of his original opera, “Quiet as Mice.”
