SECOND STAGE: Qingying Gong, piano | Through Light and Shadows | Graduating Student Project

Music has always been a place where I feel most connected to myself.
When I touch the keys, I enter a world where emotions gain shape, and inner landscapes unfold. I hope to share what I truly feel through the music I play—my energy, vulnerability, curiosity, and imagination. I believe that music can build a bridge between the composer’s soul and the listener’s heart. Through my performance, I wish to invite everyone to experience beauty, healing, and resonance together with me.

Qingying Gong is a pianist currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, where she studies with Gila Goldstein. Originally from China, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Central China Normal University. Qingying is passionate about both solo and collaborative piano repertoire and enjoys exploring a wide range of styles, from Baroque to contemporary music. As a performer, she is particularly interested in expressive storytelling through music and thoughtful interpretation of piano literature. Qingying is currently preparing for doctoral studies in piano performance and hopes to pursue a career as a performer and educator.
