The music selections for this performance include representative works of the Romantic period such as Schumann, Wagner, and Ravel. These works are composed of delicate lyrics and rich musical language, which echo each other. The whole concert is divided into three themes. The opening is gentle love and love songs, the second part is the hero’s hesitation and choice, and finally ends with the hero’s farewell and redemption. The whole recital progresses according to the emotional level, from the yearning for love and ideals, to the struggle and choice of fate, and finally to a kind of spiritual redemption and relief. Through this structure, it is hoped that the audience will not only feel the beauty of romantic music, but also realize the various reflections of the heroic spirit in reality. This is just like the growth process of each of us. When we are just starting out, we are full of fantasies about a better life and longings for love. After experiencing the hardships and vicissitudes of life, we are confused about our choices and even beliefs. We once wanted to retreat or even give up, but we will eventually transform and grow through constant struggle and pursuit. Therefore, at the end of life, when each of us is about to say goodbye to this world, we will get redemption, liberation and peace of our inner souls through review and reflection. This is the precious ideological wealth we want to leave to history and the world.
