Welcome from A.J.
Welcome to “Through the Scrapbook.” This recital tells the story of my life in three distinct chapters, each one shaped by music that reflects my journey from childhood to adulthood. Inspired by cabaret and theatrical storytelling, this program blends classical music with humor, drama, and moments of reflection. Like flipping through the pages of a scrapbook, I invite you to share in the experience of looking back while moving forward.

A.J. Ramsey is a student of Dana Varga.

A.J. Ramsey is a German American soprano and technical theater artist based in Boston, MA. Passionate about opera, she strives to interconnect diverse communities through shared experiences both on and off the stage. A.J. is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Vocal Studies at Longy School of Music of Bard College under Dr. Dana Lynne Varga and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Towson University.

A.J. has performed in a wide range of productions, including as Charlene in Service Provider, Isabel in The Pirates of Penzance, Snout in Michael Ching’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (East Coast premiere), and the Fox in Portman’s The Little Prince. In addition to her work as a performer, A.J. has extensive experience in technical theater, having served as an assistant director, assistant stage manager, hair and makeup designer, and supertitle technician.
