MAIN STAGE | Byrne:Kozar:Duo | Traces | Faculty Artist Recital

Wednesday • January 27, 2027   |   7:00 pm 8:30 pm

Everything leaves a mark. This concert is about the marks.

A relationship after it ends. The thirteenth century surfacing in music written last year. A culture legible in the graffiti on a wall. The human hand in a world that is learning to make art without one.

Three world premieres, including new work by Longy alum Christina George and current student Juniper Duncan, plus a premiere from Angélica Negrón. Byrne:Kozar:Duo (Longy faculty members and contemporary music specialists Corrine Byrne, soprano, and Andy Kozar, trumpet) also perform music written expressly for them by Taylor Brook, Marti Epstein, Sears Ahmad Farhat, and Alex Burtzos.

Come hear a Longy student’s music get its first performance ever.
