In this position, you will be teaching private piano lessons to students in Grades K-8 who are beginners, advanced beginners, or intermediate students. Teachers are paid $30 per 30 minute lesson.
All lesson scheduling is done by the After School Music Program. We offer lessons from 3:00pm-6:00pm. We are looking for teachers who are available on Wednesday and Thursday.
Qualifications:
Degree in music/music education and experience teaching private lessons to young children.
Commitment to our students; ability to foster a joy for playing music; have a very high expectation of excellence, balanced with a caring and supportive style; focus on developing technical skills including ear training, improvisation and other skills as part of lessons; provides a wide variety of music, games and exercises in lessons.
Punctual and reliable.
