2.16.18 Labelled Degenerate (Rescheduled)

Edward M. Pickman Concert Hall, 8:00 pm

In the late 1930s, the Nazi regime identified hundreds of visual artists and musicians as “degenerate.” Preeminent figures of 20th century art, including Chagall, Kandinsky, Klee, Schoenberg, Hindemith, and Weill, all had works banned or burned. Hear this once- forbidden music alongside visual projections and writings from the artists as their identity and livelihood were stripped away.

This concert has been rescheduled from the original performance date of January 19th.
