THE BOSTON CAMERATA
The Boston Camerata preserves and reawakens human memory as expressed through the art of music. It accomplishes this mission through live, historically informed, professional performances; through study and research into musical sources of the past; through media projects; and through community outreach and musical education. The Boston Camerata celebrated 70 years in 2024.
CASTLE OF OUR SKINS
Born out of the desire to foster cultural curiosity, Castle of our Skins is a concert and educational series dedicated to celebrating Black artistry through music. From classrooms to concert halls, Castle of our Skins invites exploration into Black heritage and culture, spotlighting both unsung and celebrated figures of past and present.
COLLAGE NEW MUSIC
Collage New Music’s mission is to commission, perform, and record the vibrantly diverse voices of today’s new music in the New England region and beyond, to promote engagement between listeners, performers, and composers, and to amplify its support of an inclusive range of voices in contemporary music through artistic programming and educational initiatives.
LORELEI ENSEMBLE
GRAMMY-nominated Lorelei Ensemble is recognized for bold and inventive programs that champion the extraordinary flexibility and virtuosity of the human voice. Led by founder and artistic director Beth Willer, Lorelei has established an inspiring mission, curating culturally-relevant and artistically audacious programs that challenge artists’ and audiences’ expectations.
NEW ENGLAND JAZZ COLLABORATIVE
The New England Jazz Collaborative (NEJC) is dedicated to presenting new music by a diverse group of living composers, and to expanding the audience for jazz. Founded in 2021, it has quickly established itself as a major cultural force, featuring many of the top composers and musicians in the region.
NEW GALLERY CONCERT SERIES
In twenty-five years, New Gallery Concert Series has premiered and/or commissioned well over 100 works—and brought new music and artworks into halls, galleries, homes, universities, airwaves, schools, and museums throughout greater Boston and beyond. The New Gallery Concert Series (NewGal) presents new pieces of music and visual art, along with the composers and artists who create them. NewGal’s commitment to building a unique community that encourages interactive collaborations and dialogue between musicians, visual artists, and members of the audience makes the New Gallery Concert Series one of the most refreshing organizations of its kind.
PALAVER STRINGS
Palaver Strings is a musician-led string ensemble and nonprofit organization based in Portland, ME. Founded in 2014, Palaver has established itself as a forward-thinking ensemble whose mission is to strengthen and inspire community through music. In their musician-led model, Palaver’s musicians share artistic and administrative leadership, guided by a passion for engaging new audiences, addressing social justice issues, and amplifying underrepresented voices. Each year, Palaver presents a full series of live performances featuring diverse musical programming, cross-genre projects, and community collaborations.
