Explore the different ways these artists have connected their various passions to build their own careers. This series is offered as part of Longy’s Career Coaching Program. All speaking events are free and open to the public.

This TMC session will be in person only. Longy students are welcome to join at Edward M. Pickman Hall.

Dr. Brianna Matzke is a pianist, multi-disciplinary collaborative artist, arts administrator, and educator. An avid performer of contemporary classical music, she has collaborated with many composers and appeared in concert across the globe. She is the founder and artistic director of The Response Project, an acclaimed commissioning initiative which asks composers to write music for piano in response to a pre-existing artwork or idea. Through the project, Matzke has premiered and recorded dozens of new works, and invites artists from other disciplines to also create and present responses in large-scale community events. Matzke serves as Executive Director for two organizations: concertnova, a groundbreaking chamber music concert series in Cincinnati, and the Cortona Sessions for New Music, a two-week new music educational festival based in Europe. She also serves as Associate Professor of Music at Wilmington College.
