RuiZhi Zhang | Ray’s Music Republic | Graduating Student Recital

Ruizhi Zhang, 24 years old, was born in Liling, China. As a junior high school student, he developed a passion for piano and decided to pursue it as a career. In high school (2015-2017), he began to study with Professor Fan Liu from the Wuhan Conservatory of Music. Three years later, he successfully applied to the Conservatory. He has also taken lessons with Professor Laura Melton of Bowling Green State University. While an undergraduate at the Wuhan Conservatory, he gave two full recitals, the first for piano and erhu, and the second his undergraduate graduation recital in 2021. After completing his undergraduate degree, Ruizhi successfully applied to the Longy School of Music for his Master of Music degree. He is studying with Professor Renana Gutman. At Longy, he has participated in the piano departmental recitals in Fall 2022 and Spring 2023. In his free time, Ruizhi enjoys playing badminton and swimming.
