Phantasmagorias /fanˌtazməˈɡôrēəz/ n. series of real or imagined events that change quickly, one following the other as in a dream.

Spanning from the Baroque to the present day, this program consists of works which act as vignettes of different facets of the human experience. The program begins and ends with préludes by the Lithuanian composer, M. K. Čiurlionis, beginning with sorrow and pain and ending with deliverance and hope. Featured in the program is a piece by another Lithuanian composer, Žibuoklė Martinaitytė, titled “Phantasmagorias” (2023), which features constant rapid shifting of elements, and “Why Do We Suffer?” (2022) by Samuel Durand, which was commissioned by and dedicated to Erica Phung.

Erica Phung is a student of Andrius Žlabys.
