All Longy students present full recitals as part of their education and ongoing evolution as artists. They are charged with thinking critically about what stories they tell, whose voices to amplify, and who’s in the room for their event while also considering how to use performance spaces in innovative ways and how to truly engage audiences and create interactive music experiences.

Program notes:

The title of my reticle is “A piece of solidify time”. In my opinion, Each composer represents every period of time, and their work interprets that time, Every composer and their music works is unique, we can find myself in these music works. Cherishing every note and felling every chords, phrases.

Biography:

Pianist Linxi Gong is currently of Longy school of music of Bard College in professor Renana Gutman’s studio, pursuing her master’s degree in piano performance. Born in China who aims to combine oriental aesthetics and western music conventions into her piano playing. It is fortunate to have piano as her accompany, which helps hers to know herself better and speak to the audiences.
