While this event is open to the public, you must pre-register in order to gain access in person. No walk-ups will be allowed at Longy for performances.
Join us for a unique, one-day festival that showcases Longy students, fosters community, and gives the audience a unique, one-of-a-kind musical experience! This immersive festival is at the heart of what Longy is all about: being creative, challenging musical norms, and creating inspiration in unexpected places. With a choose-your-own-adventure style map, YOU will get to choose your own musical adventure including performances by Opera Creation, student chamber groups, the Historical Performance Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, a chill-out room, a raffle with awesome prizes, and of course, lots of FREE FOOD! The festival is for Longy students and families, the greater community, and anyone looking for a musical adventure you will never forget.

The Begin Anywhere Festival was designed, curated and is being produced by the students of Longy as part of the Build a Festival Class, led by Professor Sarah Whitney. This festival encompasses the learning part of Longy’s mission to train the next generation of musician entrepreneurs. Come see the students in action and get an insight into the process of what musician entrepreneurs do!
