The West: So Self-Obsessed | A Final Presentation from Europe Looks At The World

The culminating event from Longy’s Historical Performance project course on appropriation and cultural supremacy in 17th & 18th century music from the ‘Enlightened’ ‘West,’ led by instructors Pamela Dellal and Vivian Montgomery, will feature contextualization, creative reworking, and considered performance of problematic works by Kristine Caswelch, Guinevere Conner, Hao Ding, Zhining Hu, Yitian Luo, Cailin Smith, Dagny von Mering Crowley, Liang Wang, Yixuan Wang, Linsen Yang, and Yihan Ye.
