A versatile singer, pianist, and educator, Dingjie Dong’s musicianship leave a deep impression on people.
Recognized for her artistry as a soloist, Dingjie is the First Prize winner of the Hong Kong Victoria Cup Asian-Music and Dance Arts Festival and International Chinese Traditional Instruments Competition in the 5th International Chinese Arts Festival. She is also the Second Prize winner of the third Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory International Master Music Competition and The Brandenburg International Music Competition.
Performing is an integral part of Dingjie’s career; she enjoys programming and performing on concert series in Hangzhou and beyond. She has performed at venues including Zhejiang Conservatory of music, Central Conservatory of music, China Conservatory of Music and Tchaikovsky Conservatory of music.
Deeply committed to education, Dingjie used to teach in a primary school, and has maintained a private teaching studio since 2019. In teaching, she tries to make students enjoy, understand and express music at different stages of their lives. She focuses on encouraging students to be curious and flexible, guiding them to explore music and helping them solve their doubts in the learning process.
She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Voice Studies at Longy School of Music of Bard College where she studies with Carol Mastrodomenico.
