Adaptation | Presented by the Winds and Brass Department | Andy Kozar, Director

Tuesday • October 26, 2021   |   7:30 pm

Free – $20.00
The adaptability of the humans is one of our greatest strengths.  As climates and geographies changed, people have always found a way to live and to thrive.  The desire and need to create art has always been a cornerstone of humanity’s existence and is one arene in which this ability to adapt can be found on display.
The Longy Winds and Brass students’ presentation of Adaptation shows that this ability to create opportunities from what is available is alive and well.  Separated into smaller ensembles, each group was tasked with creating a piece of music to perform together, though not something that has already been written for this instrumentation.  They must adapt a work for their instrumentation and will, as we always do, find a way.
