Sunday • November 15, 2020   |   3:00 pm

After engaging this semester with over 500 years of African diasporic artistry created on multiple continents, students from the Composers of the African Diaspora class are excited to showcase a wide range of compositional styles and genres from past and present Black composers. We invite you to learn and listen as we share both music and stories of Chevalier de Saint-Georges, Justin Holland, Blind Tom, William Grant Still, Florence Price, Ed Bland, Ulysses Kay, Adolphus Hailstork, Regina Harris Baiocchi, Valerie Coleman and H. Leslie Adams. Solo and chamber works, as well as original compositions by students Joi Harper and Lorenzo Macuja, will be available to enjoy for one week only: from Sunday, November 15th at 3pm to Sunday, November 22nd at 3pm
